Cardiovascular Disease
Biography:
Prof. Xiaoyu TIAN received PhD from Department of Physiology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After graduation, she continued as a postdoctoral fellow in the Cardiovascular Research Institute at UCSF. Currently, her lab works on vascular biology in the context of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases using cell and mouse models. Her research is mainly supported by the Hong Kong Research Grant Council grants, Health and Medical Research Fund grants, from Hong Kong. She also received the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Excellent Young Scientist award in 2019. Since her independent career as an Assistant Professor in 2017, she has published more than 15 research papers as leading author in journals include Cardiovascular Research, PNAS, Advanced Science, Diabetes, etc., and she co-authored more than 100 papers.

Biography:
Prof. Cheuk-Chun SZETO is currently a Professor of Department of Medicine & Therapeutics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Honorary Consultant Physician of Prince of Wales Hospital. He is also currently the chairman of the Best Practice Recommendations Committee of the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology, chairman of the Examination Subcommittee of the Medical Council of Hong Kong, the Chairman of the Nephrology Specialty Board and the secretary of Credentialing Committee, both under the Hong Kong College of Physician.

Topic: Adrenal Incidentaloma: Good Guy, Bad Guy, or…… Are We Really Sure?
Biography:
Dr. Alan Chun-Hong LEE obtained his MBBS degree from Faculty of Medicine HKU in 2007. He subsequently completed physician training in Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) and became a specialist in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism in 2016. He currently serves as the consultant of Department of Medicine at Tung Wah Hospital and the honorary clinical assistant professor of the Department of Medicine in LKS Faculty of Medicine HKU. He is the physician-in-charge of QMH Thyroid Clinic. He has been serving as the council member of Osteoporosis Society of Hong Kong (OSHK) since 2018, and is the Vice-president of Diabetes Hongkong since 2024. He updated the division protocol for the management of adrenal incidentaloma at QMH in early 2023 and supervised the respective nurse clinic which offered triage and early assessment of this extremely common endocrine problem.
